PAT Testing
What is PAT Testing
PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) is an important part of a companies or individual's responsibility to health and safety. This is done using a series of specialised testing procedures on your portable appliances.
Health & Safety at Work Act
The electricity at work regulations are a statutory recommendation derived from the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The purpose of this regulation is to ensure that all electrical systems are regularly maintained to prevent the risk of injury or death from electricity in the work place.
Electrical systems include all equipment that is connected to an electrical source and therefore includes any item that is portable, fixed, moveable or stationary. This includes computers and all IT equipment used by your company.
